Greetings players, below is a guide on how to deal with weapons fire. It will take a little practice, but after this short read, you should be able to increase your survival time greatly (at least 50%, but as you perfect it up to 90%! Possibly more!)

Dealing with railgun(s) and other projectile weapons.

As many if you may know, rail weapons travel in a straight line, with proper fitting, they may do so very quickly. The problem with rails is that they are really built for slow, bulky targets (like bases, and battleships).

because of this low rate of fire, and longer interval between, you can dodge rails 80-100% of the time with this good trick.

As demonstrated below, if you look carefully, Imagine you are flying at the enemy at 11 o'lock. He fires a rail, you should immediately shift your direction to 9 o'clock, the moment (Emphasis on "the moment") it passes you, you change back to your direction at 11 o'clock. If you do this, you will always dodge the enemy, and almost dodge them in slow bulky ships (it is possible!).

How  to deal with Torpedo Weapons

Torpedo weapons are a little more tricky to deal with, but there is a secret to them!

unlike projectiles where you simply just change your direction, project weapons, specially plasma torpedo's require more a more constant movement, which is best described as a "Spiral" Effect; Except you want to start at mid range, and spiral out to max weapons range (For your weapons). Getting to close may be a bad thing if he has plasma torpedo's. If he has heavy missiles etc, then starting close is acceptable, but ideally its best to stay in mid range. The reason for this is, if he has not fired, he may surprise you with a menuever that will cause you to take weapons fire (and potentially lose ships).

So spiral from mid weapons firing range, and move out. after completing a 3 quarters rotation (IE if you start at 3 o'lock, end the spiral on a 12 o'clock) Move out of max range, and reinitialize the menuever. The picture below should give you an ida.
